Carlos Alcaraz to face Novak Djokovic in the semifinals of the Madrid Open
It is a huge win for Carlos Alcaraz who lost his previous two meetings against Rafael Nadal. it can also be hailed as the change of guard moment in Spanish tennis but there are surely some factors that one needs to keep in mind. This is Nadal’s first event after suffering from a stress fracture on his ribs and it is always difficult for someone to come back from injury and immediately play at a high level. Still, he showed great signs in his win over David Goffin and also here in his loss against Alcaraz.
