Italian player Jannik Sinner is the youngest player ranked in the top 10 by the association of tennis professionals (ATP). He’s currently ranked number nine by ATP. The 20-year-old was born in San Candido, Italy. He’s a right-handed player. Sinner has been having a decent run in 2022. He was outplayed by Alexander Zverev in the quarterfinals of the Monte Carlo Masters last week and has reached the quarter-finals in 4 of the 5 tournaments he played so far.

Jannik Sinner said that he was worried about the war in Ukraine. He also said that Russians and Ukrainians are friends on the tour and that they should start from there. he loves tennis and has tried to make it his job and likes to play tennis.

“I am worried about the war in Ukraine. I see that Russians and Ukrainians respect each other and are friends on the Tour. Perhaps we should start from here. I love tennis, I invested all of myself to try to make it my job. I like to play,” he said.

Even though two countries are facing tough times the spirit of sports unites everyone irrespective of their nationality. The biggest example is the ATP tour. The tour treats all players equally irrespective of their county even though the two countries are in conflict.

He said he was worried like everyone else, to the Italian sports daily La Gazzetta Dello Sport. during the conversation, he opened up about the war situation between Russia and Ukraine. He said life is full of ups and downs like a roller-coaster ride.

Expressing his concern, Sinner said, “I’m worried, like everyone else.” Elaborating further on his stand on the crisis, Sinner said, “Sometimes things happen that make us understand that there is also pain and evil.”

Sinner entered the Monte Carlo draw as the 9th seed from the quarter-finals of the Miami Open he was three sets against Borna Coric. He won against Emil Ruusuvuori in the second round. In the third round, he defeated Andrey Rublev before losing to Zverev 7-5,3-6,6-7 in the fourth round.
