Toni Nadal recently opened up about an old incident where Roger Federer showed absolute elegance after winning against nephew Rafael Nadal. He said, “The only Roland Garros final that Rafael did not celebrate by falling to the ground was that of 2008 against Federer, in a final won in three sets, in a rather unpredictable way. Only three years later, in 2011, Roger had the opportunity to return the favor with overt consideration.”

“It was in the impressive O2 Arena in London, during the Masters Cup, when after getting rid of Rafael in the short hour with a convincing 6–3 and 6–0, he kicked the last ball that Rafael sent to the public and with totally atypical behavior for a player who has just won such an important match, he lowered his head and did not raise his eyes from the ground until he fell on his defeated rival at the net to shake his hand and give him a warm pat on the chest.”
