Alexander Zverev reached the semifinals of a couple of tournaments this season. However, he failed to make it any further, with his best result being a semifinal appearance at the 2023 French Open. The 2020 Tokyo Olympics gold medalist will certainly enter the American hard-court swing season with a newfound confidence.

Seeded fourth in Hamburg, Alexander Zverev proved too good for Laslo Djere in the finals. The first set was a tightly contested affair, with Zverev getting the final break to win the set 7-5. However, the second set was one-way traffic, as he broke the Serbian’s serve twice to claim the title.

Alexander Zverev will be hopeful of doing well in the upcoming hard-court season. He has a good record in tournaments like the Cincinnati Open, and the US Open. He claimed the Cincinnati Masters title in 2021, defeating Andrey Rublev in the finals. The German also came close to winning his first Grand Slam title at the US Open in 2020, as he led Dominic Thiem by two sets in the finals.
