The much anticipated Miami Grand Prix debuted on Saturday night in front of a packed crowd. The race was once again a tussle between the Red Bulls and Ferraris with World Champion Max Verstappen crossing the chequered flag as the victor. Verstappen, starting from P2 on the grid, overtook championship leader Charles Leclerc on the track and capitalized that lead till the very end.

F1 races in the USA are always festival-like. Many eminent personalities grace the race weekend and are one of the major pre-race attractions. People from various sports including tennis came for the Miami race. The biggest names from the tennis community that graced the streets of Miami were the Williams sisters- Serena and Venus Williams.

Other than them, WTA stars Caroline Wozniacki and Eugenie Bouchard also attended the race. Like the Williams sisters, both Wozniacki and Bouchard are huge motorsport fans and it was obvious that they won’t be missing a race so close to their home.

Max Verstappen has now won every race that he has finished this season but still trails Charles Leclerc in the championship standings by 19 points. He is inching closer with each passing race and given the slow nature of the Catalunya circuit, he will fancy his chances to narrow down the gap at the top.

The Spanish Grand Prix will be held in a couple of weeks and will be preceded by the Monaco Grand Prix where the Ferraris are expected to do well.
