At the upcoming 2022 Citi Open in Washington, the first WTA-250 event of August in preparation for the 2022 US Open, world No. 10 Emma Raducanu will be the second seed. This month, as the reigning US Open champion, Raducanu will have a challenging assignment on her hands as she must defend 2000 points. The British girl could fall out of the Top 100 if she performs poorly at the US Open.

Her trip will start in the nation’s capital when she steps onto the court in DC for the Citi Open. Raducanu will be eager to pick up some significant victories on her road to New York for the Grand Slam. Good performances can be expected from Emma given that her best results have been on hard courts, and with two straight WTA-1000 events after the Citi Open, she may be able to boost her ranking significantly.

Currently, the Briton is featuring in the Citi Open in a bid to prepare for the defense of her US Open title. Meanwhile, in a viral video, the 19-year-old was seen playing table tennis. The tennis star, this time, left her racket to pick up a table tennis paddle. She engaged in a fun battle of table tennis.

Emma appeared to be as competitive while playing as she is on the tennis court. Even in jest, she loudly cheered and celebrated a point with her mother looking on and recording her daughter.
