Roberto Bautista Agut is a Spanish professional tennis player who has been ranked as high as world No. 9 by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) in singles, which he first achieved on 4 November 2019. The Spaniard has won a total no. of 11 career titles so far and has a win-loss record of 363-216 in ATP Tour & Grand slam main draw matches, and Davis cup.

The former world No.9’s best results came in Wimbledon 2019 when he reached the semi-finals of the tournament. Earlier, this year, Bautista reached the final of the Mallorca Open where he took the match against Stefanos Tsitsipas to the end but lost to the Greek in a closely fought 3-setter final.

Bautista won the title in the recently concluded Generali Open in Austria where the latter displayed a dominant game over Filip Misolic of Austria. The 34-year-old Spaniard won the final in straight two sets by 6-2, 6-2, giving no chance to the Austrian to take the game in his favour.

In the Trophy ceremony, held after the match Bautista was thanking his coach, family and fans, that’s when a cute fan’ was seen walking towards the Spaniard and he was none other than his little son who is, of course, the biggest fan of his father. The champion then held his son in his arms and continued his speech.

“I enjoyed the final, I think I managed the pressure very well,” said world the number 20 after his second title of 2022. He also said, “I knew I was a little bit the favourite today, but he had so many good wins this tournament and I knew it was going to be difficult. I played a very good match.” The Generali Open title was Bautista’s second title this year after he won the Qatar Open after defeating Georgia’s Nikoloz Basilashvili in the final.
