Roger Federer retired in September of 2022 after playing his last match as a doubles pair with Rafael Nadal in the Laver Cup 2022. The Swiss-Spanish pair of Team Europe lost that match against the all-American pair of Jack Sock and Frances Tiafoe. However, for all tennis fans it was one of the most emotional nights.

The Swiss legend is one of the most loved athletes in the world. The main reason for this humongous popularity is his attitude and demeanor during his playing days. Roger Federer mastered communication skills early on his career and used to interact with everyone in such a way that pleased them. However, after retirement, he is dedicating most of his time to his foundation.

The Roger Federer Foundation works in seven countries across the world with other partner organizations. The eight-time Wimbledon champion is passionate about bringing the gift of education to each person. Hence, his foundation is working to improve education standards for both students and teachers in Southern Africa and Switzerland.

The foundation released its annual report a few days ago. In it was mentioned how the organization helped to improve quality of early education for 2.4 million children in this region. The five-time US Open champion was very happy to learn this and in an emotional note talked about the 20th anniversary of the Foundation and his future endeavors.

“It goes without saying that my foundation will be at the forefront of my priorities. The Roger Federer Foundation, which I established with my parents in 2003, has grown to be much larger than we initially envisioned during my playing days. This year, the foundation will celebrate its 20th anniversary, and I still recall signing the founding document.” he wrote.
