Naomi Osaka, the 24-year-old Japanese tennis professional has had the world at her feet in recent times. She has however been struggling to find her form this season. Osaka faced a third-round defeat at the Australian open at the start of the year and bowed out of the French Open and the US Open in the first rounds.

Competing in the Japan Open, Naomi Osaka won the tournament’s first round due to a walkover by Daria Saville, her opponent. Saville suffered an injury to her knee in the second game of the first set and had to withdraw due to the injury. Osaka quickly ran to her aid with a towel and tried to help her.

Osaka also shared a video where she wished Saville a speedy recovery. Osaka said, “I just wanted to wish you the best. I hope you’re doing better. I just want to let you know you’re one of the funniest people on the Tour and I still remember all the nice things you said to me at French this year. I want you to know that I am wishing you the best. I hope that it’s not a major at all and you’ll bounce back, because I know that’s what you’re good at.”
