Frances Tiafoe‘s journey in professional tennis has been marked by the guidance of several coaches who have played pivotal roles in shaping his career. From his early days at the JTCC under the mentorship of Misha Kouznetsov to his current standing as the World No. 22, Tiafoe’s coaching dynamic has evolved significantly.

Following his first ATP win in 2018, Tiafoe transitioned to training under his longtime friend Zack Evenden. However, it was during the 2020 season, amidst the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, that a significant shift occurred in Tiafoe’s coaching setup. Retired South African tennis professional Wayne Ferreira stepped in as Tiafoe’s primary coach, leading to Evenden’s departure.

With Ferreira at the helm, Tiafoe’s game reached new heights, as evidenced by his strong performances on the court. Under Ferreira, the American reached a career-high No. 10.
