100 preschool rooms in public facilities for children
In a latest development, the foundation is taking big steps in ensuring children in Serbia have access to quality preschool education. By the end of 2022, the foundation will also adapt and equip at least 100 preschool rooms in public facilities and existing preschool institutions.
They have also signed an agreement with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development on partnership cooperation on the Project of Inclusive Preschool Education, which is financed with the support of the World Bank.
The 18-time Grand Slam winner, Novak Djokovic also tweeted to express his delight.
“With an aim to provide our youngest generations with a stimulating environment for play and learning in order to develop their full potential, our team has so far reconstructed, equipped and helped 45 preschools throughout Serbia. In this way, we have also encouraged the development of local communities, which in the long run contributes to a better future for all of us. However, the numbers show that there is still a long way to go before every child in Serbia has access to preschool education. That is why we are very glad that, thanks to our many years of experience, the Ministry put their trust on us to help them on that path and we are sure that with the partnership with the World Bank the project will be successfully completed, ” said Maja Kremic, National Director of Novak Djokovic Foundation.
