REVEALED! Novak Djokovic’s Path to Claim his Fourth US Open title
Novak Djokovic
‘Cometh the hour, cometh the man,’ Novak Djokovic is an absolute superstar in the world of tennis who has time and again proved that he is one of the best, if not the best tennis player in the world in the current scenario. The champion from Serbia is eyeing at his fourth Grand Slam title of the season and he would be incredibly hard to stop for all his opponents.
Djokovic delivered a dominating performance at the French Open where he defeated the likes of Rafael Nadal and Stefanos Tsitsipas to lift the coveted trophy. Prior to that, he thrashed the likes of Daniil Medvedev in the finals of the Australian Open to win the title yet again.
The current World No.1 player has cornered almost everyone in the game, especially this season. Djokovic carried his form into the Wimbledon as well where he had no troubles at all in winning the title after defeating Matteo Berrettini in the ultimate clash.
Djokovic eyeing 21st Grand Slam title
Novak Djokovic will most probably have an easy win in his first round where he will face a qualifier. Post that, he will probably meet German tennis star Jan-Lennard Struff in his second-round clash who again should not be a very tough opponent to get past for Djokovic.
Going into the third round, Djokovic might have to face Japanese tennis sensation Kei Nishikori or twenty seventh-seeded David Goffin from Belgium. The star player might face a slightly stiff challenge from either Alex de Minaur or twenty-first-seeded Aslan Karatsev in the fourth round.
In the quarter-finals, Djokovic might have to face tenth-seeded Hubert Hurkacz who has been sensational in the recent past, or he might have to take on Italian superstar Matteo Berrettini. After that, Djokovic might have to face his toughest opponent in the semis.
he might have to face Alexander Zverev in the semis. Zverev defeated Djokovic this year at the Tokyo Olympics which will be in the back of Serbian tennis star’s mind. In addition to that, if Zverev somehow fails to impress, Djokovic will then take on either Karen Khachanov or seventh-seeded Denis Shapovalov.
In the all-important final clash, Djokovic might have to face second-seeded Daniil Medvedev who has been in scintillating form recently. If not Medvedev, Djokovic would have to take on Stefanos Tsitsipas, or Andrey Rublev who had a terrific run at the Cincinnati Masters.
