Jelena Ostapenko moves into her 2nd quarter-final of the season as she moves past 2021 Birmingham Classic winner Ons Jabeur. However, Daria did give a taste of her own medicine to Swiatek in their clash yesterday.

Daria has had a wonderful record in quarter-finals this season, winning all 3 of her previous last-8 encounters and reaching to the finals. She has lost only 1 finals among the 3 she has contested in this season winning two titles in the process. Daria won the 2021 Phillip Island Trophy and later won the title at the 2021 St. Petersburg Open in front of her home crowd for her 2nd title of the season.
