“Rafael Nadal favorite to win the French Open, he can beat Djokovic too,” Toni Nadal ensures a 22nd for the Spaniard
Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal
The Australian Open victory was one of the greatest victories for Rafael Nadal in his career. He made a comeback after suffering from injuries and still won the title in an unbelievable fashion.
However, some people were a bit bitter about Novak Djokovic missing the Australian Open because of his deportation from Australia. They felt that if Djokovic was present at the major he would’ve won the title.
Nevertheless Rafa’s uncle Toni Nadal went ahead and claimed that Rafa will win the French Open 2022 and will beat Djokovic at the Roland Garros. Toni said, “Rafael Nadal favorite to win the French Open, he can beat Djokovic too,”
Rafael Nadal to win 22nd title says Uncle Toni
Rafael Nadal was down and out of the game for the past 5-6 months before the Australian Open. The former world No.1 suffered from a foot injury and had to go through surgery. He was recovering and trying to make it back to the tour as soon as he could.
But he had long-term problems with his foot which still remained after going through surgery. He had to give time for him to heal properly. When finally he decided to come back to professional tennis he was a bit skeptical about how long his foot would remain intact.
Well, it remained intact for the 7 magnificent games that Rafa played at the Australian Open and showed his prowess to the world. He won his 21st grand slam and left Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic behind.
Rafa’s uncle Toni Nadal after his historic win said, “Rafa is the favorite to win the French Open. If he plays well, he can beat Djokovic too.” According to uncle Toni Rafa will be adding a 22nd title to his cabinet at the French Open 2022.
Looking at the form that Rafa is in at the moment, it would take a village to stop him from winning on his favorite surface. A place where he has won 13 out of his 21 grand slams, Djokovic will be a tough contest for Rafa but it will be a treat to watch them compete at the Roland Garros.
