Denis Shapovalov will make his 4th appearance at the tournament after having made his tournament debut at the 2017 edition where he reached the 2nd round which remains his best result after successive first round defeats in the 2018 and 2019 tournament.
The Canadian youngster last played at the ATP Stuttgart Open, making his Grass debut for the season and lost to eventual winner Marin Cilic in the 2nd round. He had to miss the Grand Slam in Roland Garros this year due to a shoulder injury he faced after his runner-up finish at the ATP Geneva Open 2021.
Aleksandar Vukic will enter his debut main draw of a Grass tournament as he makes his Grass debut this season since turning Pro in 2014. The 25-year old comes from a straight-set win in the 1st qualifying round followed by a 3-set win in the 2nd round to enter the main draw.
The Australian has been mostly busy on the Challenger level this year and tried his luck in the qualifying rounds of the French Open 2021, where he lost in the 3rd and final round of the qualifying round denying him his 2nd appearance at the Roland Garros main draw after making his debut at the competition in the 2020.
