The Italian 26 year-old is at a career high, achieving his highest ranking ever this season. After winning the Cagliari Open and reaching the Fourth Round at Wimbledon, Sonego has suffered back to back Second Round losses and will be looking to regain form as he takes on the young American.

Korda has had a cruising season, also having made a Fourth Round appearance at Wimbledon, earlier this year. Having made the Quarterfinals in both, the Miami Open as well as the Halle Open, as well as winning two titles, the most recent being the Parma Open, where he defeated Sonego in the Second Round, Korda has been gaining momentum that he will undoubtedly wish to keep.
