Daniil Medvedev with his Wife
World No. 2 Daniil Medvedev is currently preparing for the upcoming 2021 ATP Finals where he will be defending his title won in London last year. The Russian is back in Monaco where he resides and is undergoing preparation there itself before making his trip to Turin where the ATP Finals are scheduled to take place from the 14th of November.
Medvedev has time and again spoken about his passion for playing Playstation and after winning the 2021 US Open title, he performed the ‘Deadfish’ celebration often seen on the FIFA game. This time, however, his love for FIFA seemed to have cause a little problem between him and his wife Daria, for which the Russian took to his Instagram handle for tips from his fans and followers.
From what can be seen in the photo posted, it seems Daniil has just finished his practice session with Daria in the audience and as he described in the caption, the couple is not on the same terms on what should be done for the remainder of the day. While Medvedev wanted to go home and play FIFA, Daria suggested having dinner.
There were quite a few suggestions and reactions on the post with some suggesting going for the dinner, many said to get her also involved in FIFA and then both of them can play together.

In the 51 editions of the ATP Finals so far, only 9 players have won the title more than once and of them, 8 have defended their title the next year apart from Boris Becker who in 1988, 1992 and 1995. If Medvedev is able to defend his title, he will join this elite list which features the likes of Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, Ivan Lendl, Pete Sampras, Ilie Nastase, John McEnroe, Bjorn Borg and Lleyton Hewitt.
With 4 previous champions featuring amongst the 8 qualified players for this year’s Finals, it will be a tough battle for Medvedev but given his sensational form lately, he definitely has the skillset to have the trophy in his hands after the finals n 14th November.
