However, he was involved in a terrible accident during the start of the Men’s Doubles quarterfinal match on Tuesday.
A ball which was out of play was whacked away by Nick Kyrgios, as she smashed the ball into the stadium. Unfortunately, the ball hid a small kid in the crowd, who never expected that the ball would come his way. The kid was in some pain, as Kyrgios immediately regretted his decision.
The expressions on Nick Kyrgios’ face really do show his guilt of accidentally hurting the child. However, he made the kid’s day special, as he gave him a gift he will never ever forget. In return, the young boy gave Kyrgios one of the brightest smiles of the tournament so far.

Nick Kyrgios handed over a racquet to the young kid, who then had a bright smile across his face. It was indeed a wholesome moment in an event that did not look good at the start.
Talking about the quarterfinal matchup, the Kyrgios-Kokkinakis show continued at Australian Open 2022, as the pair knocked out sixth seeds, Michael Venus and Tim Putz in three sets. They now face the third seeds, H. Zeballos and M. Granollers in the semifinal battle on Thursday.
Nick Kyrgios and Thanasi Kokkinakis also knocked out the top seeds, Mate Pavic and Nikola Metkic in the second round in straight sets. This is proving out to be an incredible run for the Australian duo, as they are just two steps away from glory.
