Jason Kubler is the latest star to emerge from Down Under. The Brisbane native has made a mark in his home Grand Slam with some brilliant performances in the doubles format. He has partnered up with fellow Australian Rinky Hijikata in the men’s doubles format.
The pair have been unstoppable in the doubles. Kubler and Hijikata entered the tournament unseeded. But they quickly went about proving that they were better than many expected. They beat the sixth-seeded pair of Lloyd Glasspool and Harri Heliovaara in the second round.
They followed that up with another shock. Kubler and Hijikata defeated first seeds Wesley Koolhof and Neal Skupski in straight sets in the quarterfinals. They then got the better of eighth-seeded Horacio Zeballos and Marcel Granollers in the semifinals to progress to the finals.
This is Kubler’s best run at a Grand Slam tournament. He hopes to top off this dream run by getting his hands on the trophy.
Kubler, with his partner, will now play Hugo Nys and Jan Zielinski in the championship decider. He will surely leave the tournament with an enhanced reputation and a much better ranking. He will look to celebrate with the most important people in his life regardless of the result of the final.

Kubler is dating fellow Australian tennis player Maddison Inglis. She is ranked 210 in the WTA rankings and is a winner of 9 ITF Challenge titles.
The couple has been dating for three years. But this news only emerged when they both played for Team Australia at the United Cup. The couple teamed up at the Australian Open to play mixed doubles together.
They won their first two matches. But they ended up crashing out in the quarterfinals. Inglis has supported Kubler as he competed in the men’s doubles format at the Australian Open. He has now reached the finals of the format, where Inglis is sure to be at hand to cheer him on.
