British tennis star Liam Broady has long been in the wings on the ATP Tour but has not had his breakout moment. The English lad was born on 4th January 1994 in Stockport, UK to Shirley and Simon Broady. He also has three siblings, tennis Pro Naomi Broady, sister Emma, and brother Calum.

Liam was pushed into sports from a young age by his parents. This included playing table tennis right from the age of four. He moved to tennis as he entered his pre-teens and went on to win multiple age group tournaments. One of his biggest titles as a teenager came at the 2008 European Masters under-14, a title also won by 22-time Grand Slam title winner Rafael Nadal.

As a junior, he reached the finals at Wimbledon in 2011 and the US Open in 2012. While he didn’t win a Major in singles, things were different in doubles. He went on to win the 2010 Wimbledon and 2012 Australian Open in the boy’s doubles category. The success has not however transpired on the ATP Tour as he struggles for consistency and form.

He is yet to break into the Top-100 achieving his best-ever rank as World No. 116 in February 2022. While he continues to work hard on the Tour, his personal life has interested his fans, especially in the UK.
