Tennis stars, Dominic Thiem and Kristina Mladenovic were once love birds on the tour. The couple who brought their relationship to limelight in 2017, enjoyed their time with each other.
From practicing to touring places, the couple were at peace with their relationship. In fact, both players were also seen supporting each other from the standing during tennis matches.
Interestingly, it was the Frenchwoman who had approached the Austrian player first. During an interview at the Rolex Paris Masters in 2018, Dominic Thiem revealed: “She (Kristina Mladenovic) asked me for a warm-up. So it’s her, but I’m not sure she was looking for a date or something. There was a lot in between but it’s too long to answer, but that’s how it started.”
During their relationship, Mladenovic expressed her delight by stating that she feels comfortable around a fellow-tennis player, who understands the demands of the sport.
“I am very lucky and fortunate with my relationship. Obviously, in many ways, it helps to have a person that understands your job and sacrifices and accepts your job as a woman.”
“It’s not easy every day but there are also difficulties because you have to be apart from your partner but I think the understanding and the love is more powerful and the respect is amazing so I am the luckiest.”
Thiem-Mladenovic Relationship ended in 2019
Unfortunately, their relationship ended somewhere in 2019, when both players decided to move on with their respective lives.
About the end of the love-story with Mladenovic, Thiem said, “A girl implies commitment, time and concentration. At the moment I’m not looking for a partner even if I obviously don’t close at all. I am sure that in the future you will see a girl in the stands again to cheer for me.”
Although both players are still active on the tour, the former couple have never been spotted together.
