World number eight Serena Williams will take on Kazakhstan’s Elena Rybakina in the fourth round of French Open 2021 on Sunday. With numerous top-seeded players already out of the tournament, Serena will back herself to not only enter the quarter-final stage but also take home another Grand-Slam title.

Although Serena faced a few challenges in the first couple of rounds, she thrashed Danielle Rose Collins by 6-4, 6-4 in the third round to seal her place in the fourth round of French Open 2021. She was pushed on the back foot on a couple of occasions but she eventually emerged victoriously. Moreover, in her previous round, she absolutely thrashed fellow American Danielle Collins to seal her fourth-round place at the French Open 2021. Serena won by 6-4, 6-4 in an hour and 30 minutes to confirm her place in the fourth round for the 13th time in the Roland Garros.

Meanwhile, her counterpart, Rybakina has been incredible thus far in this season. She has been a part of three one-sided matches. She absolutely strolled past Elsa Jacquemot, Nao Hibino, and Vesnina to book a place in the round of 16. Rybakina won her last match in just over an hour by 6-1, 6-4.

The Kazakh sensation smashed 12 aces and 26 winners in her third round win. She will pose a threat to Serena Williams in the next game.
