Rublev last played at the ATP 500 event in Halle where he made it to the finals. It was a good start to the grass court season for the Russian. He lost to Ugo Humbert in the final in straight sets with the score line of 3-6, 6-7. The world number 7 did not have a good run in the French Open as he crashed out in the first round to Jan-Lennard Struff.
He lost to the world number 45 in a five set thriller with the score line of 3-6, 6-7, 6-4, 6-3, 4-6. The playing style of Rublev is more suited to play in fast courts. So, it will be interesting to see how Rublev performs in Wimbledon this year.
Delbonis last played at the French Open where he had a great run as he reached the fourth round but ultimately lost to Alejandro Davidovich Fokina. The world number 48 lost to Fokina in four sets with the score line of 4-6, 4-6, 6-4, 4-6.
