Shapovalov last played at Queen’s Club Championships where he made it to the semi finals finals. The world number 12 also played at Stuttgart Open where he lost to former US Open Champion, Marin Cilic in the 2nd round. He lost in straight sets with the score line of 5-7, 6-7. The Canadian did not play French Open this year as his shoulder was bothering him.
