Danhausen put a curse on Argentina hours before the 2026 FIFA World Cup final on Sunday. The WWE Superstar was at the NYC Fanatics Fest signing autographs and merch when he was asked by Omar Hegazy of uStadium whom he was going to curse in the final. The former AEW wrestler briefly thought about it before uttering Argentina.

And guess what? The Lionel Messi-led side went on to sustain a 0-1 defeat at the hands of the Spaniards. The aforementioned clip is now blowing up on social media, and the wrestling fans are just convinced at this point that Danhausen’s curse is indeed real. For the unversed, he famously made headlines for guiding the New York Knicks to their first NBA title in 53 years last month.

The man who claims to be very nice and very evil uncursed the Knicks in late April, and the rest is history. Danhausen sending his fellow WWE colleagues on a downward spiral after cursing them was one thing, but the fact that it’s working beyond that realm is unprecedented, and WWE would believe it has struck a goldmine with the 35-year-old from Detroit.

The company didn’t fail to capitalize on his Knicks hype this past weekend at MSG. The self-proclaimed NBA champion of some sort defeated JD McDonagh of The Judgment Day with a giant assist from Karl-Anthony Towns. The cat that he had stuffed inside a small cage transformed into ‘KAT’ after going through the cloning machine.

The Knicks’ 7-foot-tall center and forward dished out a couple of ring-shaking chokeslams to both McDonagh and Dominik Mysterio. It allowed Danhausen to hit the Triple D on the ‘Irish Ace’ and pick up the win. Afterwards, the wrestler with the face paint posed with the Knicks skipper Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns backstage.

They handed the Larry O’Brien Championship trophy over to Danhausen, as one could see above. It was one fairytale weekend in New York City for the man craving human monies.

Danhausen confronted Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan during SummerSlam kickoff show

After a victorious outing at Saturday Night’s Main Event, Danhausen made it to the SummerSlam kickoff show as well. At first, Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio talked trash about the self-professed WWE legend. Morgan went off on the latter for cursing her before the Queen of the Ring finals against Iyo Sky.

Then her boyfriend said he didn’t even want to mention Danhausen’s name after what happened at Madison Square Garden on Saturday. Mysterio declared he was done with him.

‘Dirty Dom’ even decided to forgo the $100,000 that he and JD McDonagh had been seeking for weeks. After that, a minihausen popped up and scared Liv & Dom for a moment.

As he disappeared, Danhausen made his way out and declared that Dom won’t decide when he’d get away from him because it’s something that only ‘Dan’ will do.

The current AAA Mega Champion affirmed that the former AEW star won’t decide anything and he better show up to this week’s Raw with all of his money. Dom and Liv exited after that but Morgan came back to scream at ‘Dan’ regarding how freaky and ugly he was.

The quirky star shrugged it out saying he was handsome and also reminded Morgan that she was still cursed. It resulted in several minihausens going after the women’s world champion and scaring her to near death on the stage. It appears like Danhausen’s beef with the Judgment Day is going to continue en route to SummerSlam.
