The latest episode of NXT marked the show’s debut on The CW Network, making this a significant milestone. To celebrate the occasion, several special guests made appearances, including hometown hero CM Punk. Another highlight of the night was former WWE Champion The Miz, who also took the stage to address the crowd.
The latest episode of NXT featured the 2x Grand Slam Champion hosting a MizTV segment. The crowd was audibly booing the A-lister, who had a wide, smug grin on his face. He asked the audience to tell him how they really felt, and the boos got even louder. The former Mr. Money in the Bank seemed elated after this response and introduced his talk show.
The Miz made no mention of how he had betrayed his teammate R-Truth the previous night. He continued his talk show without acknowledging the situation at all. The 43-year-old had stated in previous interviews that he had been a heel for so long that he did not even know how to respond to the audience’s cheers. It appears that he is once again in his natural habitat.

The Miz called his guests, NXT North American Champion Oba Femi and his challenger, Tony D’Angelo, to the ring. The two superstars had an intense back-and-forth on the microphone and ended the segment by staring each other down.
The Miz talks about his future goals in WWE
The Miz has achieved almost everything there is to do in WWE. He is a 2x Grand Slam Champion; he has won the Money in the Bank briefcase and even beat John Cena in the main event of WrestleMania. However, the Hollywood actor is still not satisfied with his career in WWE, and there is a lot more that he would like to achieve.
Speaking on Shak Wrestling, The Miz mentioned how he had never won the Royal Rumble in his career. That is a goal that he would still like to achieve. It is the only feather in his cap that is missing. Winning the prestigious match would perhaps allow him to main event WrestleMania one more time before he hangs up his boots. Perhaps now that he has stepped away from the tag team division, he could work towards this goal once again.
Last year, the 2x Grand Slam Champion stated that despite being the age of 43, he is not eyeing retirement anytime soon. In fact, he thought that rather than slowing down, he had picked up a lot of momentum since the pandemic, even winning the WWE Championship during that time. He has also stated that he would only retire from professional wrestling once it stops being fun.
