As WrestleMania season nears, the yearly conversations surrounding The Rock and his status for the event have taken over social media. At the moment, however, WWE has reportedly begun planning for the spectacle in Las Vegas under the assumption that the Hollywood star won’t be available. Amid these rumors, The Final Boss has seemingly found a way to continue his personal rivalry with Cody Rhodes.
According to Fightful, The Rock and Rhodes filmed some material together during the Moana 2 world premiere. However, the context behind it is currently unknown. The Undisputed WWE Champion attended the premiere alongside his wife, Brandi Rhodes, and daughter, Liberty, a few weeks ago. This came as a surprise to many considering their heated feud during this year’s WrestleMania season.
At the Showcase of Immortals, The Rock pinned Rhodes on Night 1 in a tag team match. On the following night, The American Nightmare came back strongly to dethrone Rock’s cousin, Roman Reigns. Despite the Moana actor’s efforts, Rhodes persevered to somehow finish his story. The story didn’t end there, as The People’s Champion confronted Rhodes on the Raw following WrestleMania. Rocky claimed that he would return to take the title off his rival before going off to Hollywood.

Almost six months later, The Rock came back to WWE by closing out the Bad Blood PLE and staring down both Rhodes and Reigns. Since then, the company has not mentioned the Hollywood star on television. With reports of his uncertain status, fans are concerned whether he will even compete at WrestleMania 41. However, given his past history, it is never too late for the 52-year-old to insert himself back into the main event scene.
Will The Rock interfere in the ongoing Bloodline civil war?
Earlier this year, The Rock sided with his family, Roman Reigns and The Bloodline, to take down Cody Rhodes. However, things have significantly changed since he left. For starters, Reigns has lost his position as The Tribal Chief after Solo Sikoa kickstarted a rebellion against his cousin.
At SummerSlam, Reigns returned and declared war against Sikoa. In the months that have followed, the duo has fought back and forth, leading to the reunion of the OG Bloodline. Amid the civil war, fans have awaited to find out what side The Final Boss lies on.
Without a doubt, most fans have predicted that The Rock is the one behind Sikoa taking over The Bloodline. In fact, Sikoa even hinted at the Hollywood star being on his side during the latter’s return at Bad Blood. Regardless, fans will have to wait and see what the former WWE Champion has to say about his family’s situation.
