The Rock surprised the entire wrestling world during his tenure as The Final Boss of WWE. He also participated in a tag team match at WrestleMania XL with Roman Reigns against Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes. After impressing everyone, it appears fans might witness the biggest match in WWE history at next year’s WrestleMania.
While speaking with ESPN, Rocky revealed that his story with WWE and Cody Rhodes is far from over. He stated that WrestleMania 41 would be even bigger than this year’s WrestleMania. After Roman Reigns’ loss against The American Nightmare at the Show of Shows, he confronted the latter on the episode of Raw after WrestleMania and teased the mega-match between them on the biggest stage of them all.

Recently, Rhodes admitted that, although he didn’t know his confirmed return date, he would eventually find his way back to WWE. Two months after the mega-event, The Rock returned to Hollywood and started preparing for the role of Mark Kerr in the movie “The Smashing Machine.” Unfortunately, he took to social media and shared an injury he suffered during the shooting. Interestingly, that was the same injury he managed to avoid before his match.

Many fans underestimated him ahead of his tag team match and claimed that the other three wrestlers would have to carry the match. However, he exceeded everyone’s expectations by adapting to the fast-paced wrestling and also taking some dangerous bumps. With him now being an important part of the company, the WWE Universe can expect more involvement from The Brahma Bull.
Triple H praised The Rock for his run during the WrestleMania XL season
The former world champion was not only able to impress the WWE Universe but also Nick Khan and Triple H. The WWE president revealed that, after the huge success, he had already started to prepare for the next big storyline. Meanwhile, his former rival, Hunter, also praised him for his run as The Final Boss.

While speaking with ESPN, he clarified the difference between announcing the comeback and living up to fans’ expectations. The 14-time world champion said that Rocky’s performance on both nights of WrestleMania XL was just on a different level. Hunter revealed that they had already discussed his return to the Stamford-based company a long time ago.

Rocky pinned Rhodes in their tag team match on Night 1 of WrestleMania XL, securing the advantage for his cousin. On Night 2, even though he wasn’t officially in the match, he did play an important part in the world title match. However, his plan failed when The Undertaker put him down with a Chokeslam.
