During the build-up to WrestleMania XL, The Rock often used social media to further his storylines and send messages to his opponents. He often cut promos on his social media accounts apart from his appearances on WWE programming. With him finally making a return to WWE, the Hollywood Superstar is back to his social media antics.
The Great One uploaded a video of his much-anticipated return at Bad Blood. He said that the show was still not over, and The Final Boss was now engaged. The post’s caption heavily implies that he has returned to professional wrestling for a significant amount of time and is about to play a major role in The Bloodline story.
The Rock did not utter a single word during his appearance at the PLE. He simply raised his eyebrow, counted down from three, and mimicked slicing a throat before walking away once again. However, he did go live on his Instagram account after the show ended.
During his promo on Instagram, The People’s Champion pointed at a production truck featuring a photo of Dusty Rhodes. He said that the American Dream was one of his heroes and that he loved him. However, he had nothing but hate for his son, Cody Rhodes. He also turned to a truck featuring John Cena and told him to go eat Fruity Pebbles.
Real-life Bloodline member and former WWE superstar claims that The Rock and Roman Reigns are on the same level
The Rock’s return to WWE at Bad Blood generated a lot of buzz, and it seemed like the entire wrestling world was talking about the Hollywood superstar and the future of The Bloodline story. Former WWE superstar and real-life Bloodline member Afa Anoa’i Jr. also chipped in with his opinion while speaking on ‘Enter The Bloodline.’
Afa Anoa’i Jr. said that the 52-year-old was fully justified in his anger with Roman Reigns. He brought Cody Rhodes into what was supposed to be family business. Furthermore, the Brahma Bull also had the rank of ‘The High Chief’, which put him on the same level as the OTC. Things had gotten personal, and this now went much deeper than wrestling storylines.
However, he believed that WWE had dropped the ball with the former WWE Champion’s return at Bad Blood. He felt that the People’s Champion had to cut a promo on Instagram Live, perhaps because they had run out of air time. Hence, he had to leave the ramp after doing some hand signs and cut the real promo on social media later.
