The Rock bid adieu to the WWE Universe in April. He went off with a promise to come back to the ring as soon as he was done with his Hollywood schedule. However, amid the shooting of his UFC biopic, the Final Boss has accidentally injured his elbow. He gave an update by sharing a video on his Instagram.

Taking it to Instagram earlier, the People’s Champion revealed that he banged his elbow while shooting some scenes for his upcoming movie, ‘Smashing Machine’. The Rock revealed that he believes that he might have suffered soft tissue damage. Although the severity of the injury has not been determined yet, his fans have wished him a speedy recovery.

The Brahma Bull suffered major injuries in 2012 and 2013 during his matches against John Cena. He tried to avoid any damage thereafter and even came out without any harm after his work at WrestleMania XL. However, it seems the damage was inevitable in an action movie. Things have become quite uncertain now as the schedule for the movie is likely to be delayed. It would also affect his future in WWE as well.

In April, the TKO Board vowed to come for Cody Rhodes. Some rumors suggested that WWE was planning to have a match between Rhodes and the Hollywood Star at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas. However, with such uncertainties on the ground, it can be said that the future of the Show of Shows next year is in jeopardy.

Cody Rhodes and The Rock have developed an amazing story. They were involved in one of the hottest segments of the year, and WWE Universe has been quite interested in their dynamics ever since. After the People’s Champion warned the American Nightmare on the day after WrestleMania XL, there have been constant talks about the future of the two stars.

Speaking on the Esquire, Rhodes believes that if the Final Boss ever comes back, he will be looking for him. 

And that return of said item… I don’t want to use the word ‘trouble’, but it spells something brewing in the future. I don’t know with his schedule, if he’s ever going to come back, but I do believe he will. And I believe he'll come looking for me. And I'll be right where he left me.

Moreover, he even talked about the object the Brahma Bull handed him on Raw after WrestleMania. Rhodes revealed that it was the Rolex watch he gifted to the main event performers. It would be interesting to see when the TKO-Board member comes back from the injury to declare war against the American Nightmare.
