The Rock appeared to pull a rabbit out of his hat courtesy of his in-ring fluency at WrestleMania XL. However, that didn’t come like a bolt from the blue. Instead, he had to engage himself in a rigorous 12-week training camp to shrug off eight years of ring rust. To aid him personally for the cause, WWE entrusted NXT trio Gallus. In hindsight, Rock is grateful for their efforts.
Joe Coffey of The Gallus recently posted a picture of the entire group with The Rock from their training sessions. It didn’t take long for The Final Boss to clap back at the Scot. He applauded Gallus for everything they’ve done together. With a promise to see them down the road, the 51-year-old asked Wolfgang and The Coffey Brothers to keep raising the bar.

Presently, the real-life Dwayne Johnson is set to embark on his next filming venture. The shoot for the Mark Kerr-based biopic, The Smashing Machine, is expected to commence at the onset of May. It would reportedly take three months to complete, lasting until the 1st of August. Which, by the way, falls a couple of days ahead of WWE SummerSlam this year.

There was a glimmer of hope that The Great One would be competing at the Biggest Party of the Summer. However, that seems quixotic at this point. Nonetheless, as he said on Raw after WrestleMania XL, Rock would come back to WWE, seeking Cody Rhodes. The latter further addressed his arch-nemesis’ ambitions on SmackDown a few weeks ago. Rhodes asserted that if Johnson makes him bleed again, the Hollywood actor would be made to follow suit.
Shawn Michaels explains why The Rock trained with Gallus for WrestleMania XL match
A day before WrestleMania XL, NXT’s creative head, Shawn Michaels, spoke to SEScoops. The WWE Hall of Famer was asked why Gallus was the perfect fit for The Rock’s WrestleMania training camp. Michaels had nothing but kind words for the three guys who enabled The Great One to regain his mojo.

Shawn affirmed that the said faction is mature and knows every aspect of what they do inside the squared circle. HBK underscored the need to find names who could’ve adjusted to everything the Black Adam star needed.
That’s how Gallus was recommended, and they ended up getting the job done. As a result, The Rock successfully teamed up with Roman Reigns to beat Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins on night 1 of WrestleMania.
