Chennai Super Kings was one of the first teams to reach UAE to start preparations for IPL 2020. However, they suffered with a big blow on Friday, when 13 members of the franchise, including two players, were tested positive for Coronavirus. As a result, their quarantine period got extended for a week.

Much to the respite of the franchise, all the players tested negative in the third round of testing on Friday. The fans felt overjoyed as Dhoni and Co. hit the nets on Friday evening for the first time since reaching UAE.

Former Australian batsman, Shane Watson took to Twitter to express his excitement of getting back to the nets with his CSK teammates. He said that it was a bit rusty but it won’t take too long to regain touch.

How exciting it was to be back with all of my @ChennaiIPLmates for our first training session!!! It was so much fun. There was a little rust that will not take long to go,” Watson wrote on his twitter handle.

Shane Watson joined Chennai Super Kings in 2018. He will play his third season for the franchise ahead of IPL 2020. He has scored 953 runs in 32 matches played for CSK so far.

Meanwhile, Harbhajan Singh has become the second CSK player after Suresh Raina to pull out of IPL 2020. He took to Twitter to made the announcement, citing personal reasons. The Chennai Super Kings haven’t yet announced any replacement for the spinner.

“Dear Friends I will not be playing IPL this year due to personal reasons. These are difficult times and I would expect some privacy as I spend time with my family. @ChennaiIPL CSK management has been extremely supportive and I wish them a great IPL Stay safe and Jai Hind.” He tweeted.
