Tokyo Olympics 2020: Saudi Arabia Soccer team Preview and squads
Saudi Arabia will be competing in the Tokyo Olympics football tournament in group D, with senior Saudi national team trio of Salem Al-Dawsari, Yasser Al-Shahrani, and Salman Al-Faraj as the overage players, the squad will leave on Wednesday for the Olympics. The Saudi Squad are set to play against heavyweights Brazil and Germany.
Saudi Arabia Squad Preview
The Saudi squad will be coached by Saad Al-Shehri, consists entirely of players who play for domestic clubs in their home country. All three over-age players are experienced and were members of Saudi Arabia’s 2018 World Cup squad. In their last international friendly match on home soil, the Saudi team defeated Uganda 2-0 recently.
Saudi Arabia Fixtures
Saudi Arabia will play three matches in Group D against Brazil, Germany and Ivory Coast. The Green Falcons will kick off their campaign against Ivory Coast on July 22, before facing Germany three days later, and finishing off the first stage against reigning champions Brazil on July 28.
