There is nothing else in the world that Tom Aspinall wants more than getting his title fight against Jon Jones. Aspinall has been asking Dana White for the fight for some time now. However, Jones has some different plans for his future. As the tension rises between the fighters, Aspinall shares a skit to mock the undisputed champion.
In the video, Dana White, as usual, was shown hyping up Jon Jones as the most dangerous man in the world. Aspinall wittily edited a video by showing clips that make it look like Jones is running away from him. By doing this, Aspinall humorously suggests that Jones might be hesitant to face him in the octagon.
The final reference to Jones being a ‘duck’ played on the idea that Jones is dodging or avoiding the challenge. Aspinall has previously accused Jones of holding the division and asked him to give up the belt. Instead of fighting a young and hungry Tom Aspinall, Jon Jones is focused on his legacy fight with veteran Stipe Miocic.
The fight is expected to take place in November at UFC 309 inside the iconic Madison Square Garden. However, according to the Brit, Miocic is old, and nobody wants to see the fight. Instead, he wants to fight Jones in the upcoming November card.
Fight fans react to Tom Aspinall’s latest skit to mock Jon Jones
Tom Aspinall recently defended his interim UFC heavyweight belt against Curtis Blaydes at UFC 304. Aspinall made it look easy and ended the fight in only one minute via TKO. This catapulted Aspinall’s popularity, with fans desperately wanting to see him play against Jones.
Jones has not addressed Aspinall for a while now. Ahead of the fight against Blaydes, Jones predicted Aspinall would fail. Now, the interim champion has resorted to making skits to embarrass the undisputed champion. In doing so, he hopes ‘Bones’ will accept the fight. The skit went viral, and here are some reactions:
As expected, many fans appreciated Tom Aspinall’s commitment to work for the title unification bout. Many found the skit hilarious, and some criticized it. However, few were concerned about Aspinall never getting the title fight with Jones despite all these efforts.
