Tom Brady agreed to be on Netflix’s The Greatest Roast of All Time, so he should have prepared for whatever was thrown at him. Even Jeff Ross‘ taunting of New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft.
On Sunday, May 5th, right after the Miami Grand Prix wrapped at the Miami International Autodrome, the seven-time Super Bowl winner, along with several other notable faces, gathered to roast and get roasted. When the ‘Roastmaster General’, Jeff Ross, stepped onto the podium, everyone braced themselves because he is famous for not pulling any punches.
Ross targeted Tom Brady and his relationship with Patriots owner Robert Kraft. However, the 46-year-old appeared uncomfortable and even muttered in the comedian’s ears to never repeat what he had just said.
After making fun of Brady being the 199th pick in the draft, Ross joked about an old controversial situation involving Kraft.
So Tom [Brady] became a Patriot and moved up to New England, and on the first day of training camp, that scrawny rookie famously walked into the owner's office and said, ‘I’m the best decision your organization has ever made.Jeff Ross said
Brady remained seated and was enjoying the roast. However, it’s the next line that generated massive ‘oohh’s and aahh’s’ from the crowd.

The camera zoomed in on Ross, and then Tom Brady can be seen speaking in his ear.

The entire room burst out in awkward laughter.
Why did Tom Brady react angrily to Jeff Ross’ roast?
During his two-decade-long sting at Foxborough, Brady became quite close with Kraft. After he left the team for Tampa, the 82-year-old claimed it was the biggest mistake of his life as the CEO and owner of the Boston franchise.
Ross’ ‘Would you like a message?‘ was a dig at a case from 2019. Kraft and a few others were allegedly part of an anti-sex trafficking investigation into several Florida massage parlors. The case ran the entire COVID-19 period.
Eventually, the misdemeanor charges against Kraft were dropped by the court, per ESPN. They blocked the use of the secret camera footage that was installed by the police inside the parlors.
Brady wasn’t involved in any of these, but he perhaps felt the need to defend the man who had given him the chance to play in the NFL. Well, at least he refrained from slapping Ross like Will Smith to Chris Rock at the 94th Oscars in 2022.
