With everything that has been happening the hype of lightweight division is massive. To add to the already existing excitement there have been rumors for a potential match-up between Tony Ferguson and Michael Chandler.

The MMA fans around the world are on their toes as this fight looks very promising considering the record of both the fighters. Both Chandler and Ferguson are known for going all out during fights and have been part of some of the greatest fights the fans have seen in recent times. Their fights involve everything like brutal striking, bloody rounds, the ability to take immense damage, never giving up attitude, etc.

Michael Chandler has suffered defeat in both of his last octagon appearances against Charles Oliveira and Justin Gaethje. The fighter will be looking forward to getting back to winning days and to defeat a UFC veteran like Ferguson will be great for his record. After that, the fighter has lost three consecutive fights and now would like to bring it to a stop.

Cormier sat down with Helen Yee Sports for an interview where he discussed his opinions regarding the rumored fight. The former UFC Light heavyweight champion believes if the fight happens it would be an amazing one and he will be very interested to watch it. “If Tony and Chandler fought it would be a good time..that would be a fun one,” said DC.

According to DC, Chandler’s reputation speaks for himself and he has been in wars in the past. The fighter has proved himself in his former promotion Bellator and the most recent one being the fight between Chandler and Gaethje. DC explained that Chandler has had one big fight and he doesn’t deserve anything less and he and Ferguson can create magic inside the octagon. “That’s the type of fight Chandler should get now,” said DC.
