Three times NASCAR Cup Series champion Tony Stewart is coming for redemption, as he set to make his second start of the 2026 season in the Trucks Series at the iconic Talladega Motor Speedway. He raced he Kaulig Racing RAM 1500 in the season opener at Daytona, marking a special return for the Dodge to the sport.

But unfortunately, the race didn’t playout as they expected, with the veteran DNFIng owing to an early race incident. Talking about his eighth start in the third division, the veteran pointed out that he is looking forward to having fun with the team while helping them to develop better cars by building their Superspeedway notebook.

Anytime you can get into a Ram truck and go racing at a place like Talladega, you jump at it. Daytona in February was a blast, but this trip focuses on having fun while helping Kaulig Racing learn and build their notebook on superspeedways.

Tony Stewart said.

The Hall of Famer Tony Stewart has won two races from the seven starts in the Truck Series and both of them were at Daytona. Hence Talladega gives him an opportunity to add another track to his resume. But at the end of the day, key goal behind his entry isn’t the race win, it’s getting valuable feedback to grow their program.

Ram put a tremendous amount of heart into this NASCAR return. If my experience helps this team sharpen its drafting package and speed up the learning curve, everyone wins.

Bringing Tony back behind the wheel of the Ram 1500 at Talladega brings incredible energy to our entire team and NASCAR fans everywhere. That’s exactly what our Free Agent program is all about.

Tim Kuniskis said.

Further talking about the point, he highlighted that RAM is pushing the limits of the team with their free agent program and use the real-world feedback to the benefit of their team. They expect the veteran to bring the show to Dega.

We built it to put proven competitors in Ram trucks, let them push the limits, create real-world feedback, and give fans what they came for. Tony is a Hall of Famer anda racer through and through, Seeing ‘Smoke’ back on the high banks at NASCAR’s biggest track is going to be a show.

Tim Kuniskis added.

The comments from the team official are on point and shows how they are not seeing this as juts a market ploy. It would be interesting to see how everything is going to playout for the star driver in the coming days.
