5. Team Rhea Ripley vs. Team Liv Morgan WarGames Match – Survivor Series
This year’s Survivor Series showcased what many consider the worst WarGames match in WWE history. Despite a star-studded lineup featuring former champions like Bianca Belair and Iyo Sky, the match turned into a borefest as soon as the bell rang. Plagued by botches and sloppy execution, it sparked major controversy within the world of pro wrestling.
Even before the match took place, fans showed little interest due to WWE’s failure to create a compelling build-up. The lack of justification for stars switching brands further damaged WWE’s brand exclusivity. Despite its star-studded lineup, the match ended up being a borefest, leaving fans disappointed at a grand stage like Survivor Series.
4. Nia Jax vs. Bayley – Bad Blood
This year marked the peak of Nia Jax’s career as she operated at the height of her skills. However, she found herself in some of the most lackluster matches of the year, including her bout with Bayley at Bad Blood. The lack of chemistry between the two stars resulted in a match that failed to capture the fans’ interest from start to finish.
The match was filled with smoke and mirrors from the start, relying on gimmicks rather than substance. WWE tried to generate excitement by adding Tiffany Stratton in the climax as a surprise twist. Unfortunately, this decision backfired, as fans felt it was forced and unnecessary. The move only added to the criticism, with many accusing WWE of mishandling the story at such a crucial moment.
3. Roman Reigns and The Usos vs. The Bloodline – Crown Jewel
Roman Reigns and The Usos reunited this year to confront the threat of The Bloodline in WWE. Their journey led them to Saudi Arabia, where they competed in a highly underwhelming match. It marked the first time The OTC teamed up with Jey Uso in almost two years. However, rushed storytelling resulted in a lackluster contest that drew widespread criticism.
Furthermore, the match severely diminished Reigns’ character, taking it to a new low. The underwhelming ending, which involved Sami Zayn, added to the questionable nature of the event. Additionally, with another mega clash that suffered from a rushed build-up, Reigns’ second match upon his return became a miserable experience for the fans.
2. Liv Morgan vs. Rhea Ripey – Bad Blood

Specifically, their match at Bad Blood ended up being one of the worst of the year, marred by a botched finish involving the return of Raquel Rodriguez.
To add intrigue, WWE suspended Dominik Mysterio in a shark cage, but poor execution turned the stipulation into a disappointment. Fans were also expecting Ripley to finally triumph and become the Women’s World Champion. However, the match’s result itself was enough to further frustrate fans, leaving them dissatisfied with the outcome.

Shockingly, the much-anticipated Jimmy Uso vs. Jey Uso match, which many fans viewed as a dream encounter, became one of the worst matches of 2024. Despite its potential, the match lacked a significant build-up to draw attention. The performances by both stars ultimately squandered the opportunity, making it a missed chance at the Grandest Stage of Them All, WrestleMania XL.
Moreover, the match turned into a superkick bonanza, ultimately wasting its potential. It felt as though WWE severely undermined this clash amid the other major Bloodline matches at WrestleMania XL. Clearly, the match disappointed both stars, who had long awaited this opportunity in their careers.
