With the Kansas City Chiefs on a bye, tight end Travis Kelce returned to his part of the woods in Cleveland to cheer for the Guardians. Kelce got an early present from the Guardians’ José Ramírez.
In the fourth inning, Ramírez struck a brilliant home run in right field. The homer gave Cleveland two runs.
Alisson Toro-Lagos of the Akron Beacon Journal uploaded a video of Travis Kelce celebrating Ramírez’s homer.

The Guardians held on for their third win of the young season. They are 3-2 while the White Sox are 2-3 after five games.
Travis Kelce purchased a minor stake in the Guardians
A month after the 2025 NFL season ended, Kelce made a massive investment. He became a minority owner of the Cleveland Guardians.

Kelce’s vision is helping the G’s end their 77-year wait for a World Series. Kelce told ESPN:
I have so much love for this city. I say it all the time: I’m just a kid from the Heights living the dream… I’ve been lucky enough to have a front-row seat to good ownership in my career, and I know the best teams prioritize culture. Everyone is there to play their role, and right now, I’m here to observe and learn and really to support the team and the city when and where I can.
The Guardians have been trending in the right direction lately. They won the AL Central in 2024 and in 2025. They won the AL Division Series by defeating the Detroit Tigers but lost to the New York Yankees in the ALCS.

Growing up in Cleveland Heights, Kelce fell in love with baseball and the Guardians very early on. His father, Ed Kelce, coached him in his youth, and he got pretty good.
Kelce also made a name for himself in football. So, when the Cincinnati Bearcats suspended him, he briefly contemplated switching to baseball full-time.
Fortunately, for the Chiefs and football fans, he stuck with football, delivering countless memories and three Super Bowls. But his love for baseball remains. Prior to the season’s first game, Kelce hyped up the Guardians on Instagram. He wrote:
October baseball baby!! LFG Guards!!!

Travis Kelce is a history maker
Although Kelce is taking a break, fans are still discovering why some consider him the greatest tight end in league history. ESPN Insights posted a stat about the 37-year-old that created buzz.
According to the broadcasting conglomerate:
Travis Kelce became the first player to catch 4 TD passes in a Monday Night Football game! He did so with just 25 receiving yards in the game… He’s one of four TEs to catch 4+ TD in an NFL game, along with Kellen Winslow, Jimmie Giles and Mike Ditka.
The game in which Kelce joined legendary players Ditka and Giles took place in Week 5 of 2022. The 4-1 Chiefs hosted bitter AFC West rivals, the 1-4 Las Vegas Raiders, at Arrowhead Stadium.
Quarterback Patrick Mahomes set up Kelce for four touchdowns. Kelce caught 7 of 8 targets for 25 yards and four scores.
