Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce shared his honest opinion on Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark’s signature basketball shoes. Kelce loves the new collection, but has a personal favorite.

On the latest episode of New Heights, Kelce revealed he’s a little biased regarding everything red because of his long-standing allegiance to the Chiefs. And he’s the biggest fan of his wife and pop icon Taylor Swift.

So, when the designers put TK’s two favorite things in one shoe, he took an instant liking to it. Kelce said:

I’m a little biased towards the Sea of Reds — the Chiefs colors… I’m also kind of biased towards the friendship bracelets [ones]. Yeah, I mean there’s not a bad colorway, and the shoe is pretty epic… I’m pretty sure you can throw any color on it; it’s gonna be a dope shoe. But it’s the meaning behind some of them that are pretty fun for me.

The Caitlin 1, launched on October 1, flew off the shelves within a few days. It’s a steal at a $140 retail price. Clark has admitted that she grew up supporting the Kansas City Chiefs even though she’s from Iowa. She’s also a massive Taylor Swift fan. Kelce said later on in the episode:

The fact that Caitlin’s been a Chiefs fan her whole life. Caitlin’s been a Taylor [Swift] fan her whole life and created a shoe that not only represents and kind of shows that side of her off the court, but at the same time look[s] pretty [expletive] dope.

Kelce and Swift started dating in 2023. The Grammy winner became a regular at Chiefs games despite receiving backlash from some corners. The pair got engaged in August 2025. On July 3, they got married at the iconic Madison Square Garden.

The Chiefs recorded their first losing season since 2014. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes tore his ACL, and the defense looked outdated. Murmurs of Kelce’s retirement clogged the internet after the season ended. However, the three-time Super Bowl champion signed a new three-year deal.

General manager Brett Veach admitted he knew Kelce would not retire as early as December. Kelce later revealed that Swift helped him to make the decision. Despite tying the knot, the power couple postponed their honeymoon so the 37-year-old could join the Chiefs’ training camp.

The Chiefs are 4-0 and lead the AFC West. Swift attended the games at Arrowhead and watched her husband bag a couple of touchdowns. Kelce has caught 16 passes for 246 yards and scored 2 touchdowns.

The Chiefs have the week off, unlike the Dallas Cowboys, who lost in their midweek fixture. Kelce and Swift took the opportunity for a date night. They were spotted together in New York.

In September, Swift released her latest single, Patient Zero. Reports say the 36-year-old is expected to resume her tour in 2027.
