The Kansas City Chiefs and the Los Angeles Chargers kick off the first international game of the 2025 season. The AFC West divisional matchup is scheduled to be played at the Arena Corinthians in Sao Paolo, Brazil, around 8 pm Eastern Time tomorrow.

The Chiefs and the Chargers have arrived in the country, known for its vibrant culture and love for soccer. The Chiefs have also held a press conference that has turned the fans’ heads and scored some media headlines with one specific incident. Travis Kelce, a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs and the fiance of famed singer Taylor Swift, imitated Patrick Mahomes, the team’s quarterback, during the said conference.

Kelce, who’s adored by fans for his skills on the field, also has a goofy and funny side. This goofiness came through when Kelce was asked by reporters about his arrival in the Brazilian city.

Patrick Mahomes, who was sitting close by, also found it very funny as he erupted into a fit of laughter. Kelce’s joke was not unwarranted, according to him. The tight end acknowledged that his actions were a small payback for telling the reporters that he didn’t know where Brazil was located on a map, a few days ago.

The buzz of the engagement and the looming fairytale wedding is still pulsing through pop culture pages and die-hard Swifties. The question about the engagement was a sure one. When asked, Kelce responded that he has been living on a high ever since he started dating Swift.

He also admitted that the relationship is a lot more out there, but added that he is fine with it.

I got one more ring from it. Ever since I’ve been dating Taylor, life has been fun. It’s been exciting. Obviously a lot more eyes, and I accept that. But I’m living life, living on a high.

Kelce is a prominent figure in the Chiefs’ dynasty, which has won three rings in the last six years. He has recorded more than 90 receptions in seven consecutive seasons and 1,004 catches for 12,151 yards and 77 touchdowns in 175 regular-season games. He’s also just three away from joining Antonio Gates, Tony Gonzalez, and Rob Gronkowski on the list of NFL TEs with 100 career touchdown receptions.

After the Super Bowl LIX loss, Kelce was rumored to hang up his boots. However, he decided to come back stronger, and he has clearly stated that there are no plans to put a retirement out there. In the press conference, Kelce admitted that he’s “feeling young and ready to ride”, a quote that seems to remind the fans of the third act of any Shakespearean drama.
