Such jibes come at the cost of his very recent turmoil with USADA’s testing pool. Jones had gotten into deep trouble on DHCMT administering charges before the USADA-UFC split came to be. However, after a thorough drug test finding, Jones got to face Alexander Gustafsson at UFC 232.

The rest of the sniggers and snorts come at the cost of his legacy fight against Stipe Miocic. The duo was to fight at UFC 295, but it fell through due to a pectoral tendon tear. But CEO, Dana White is stern on the fight taking place at any cost, rebooking it once Jones recovers.

Jon Jones’ Relation with God: Is he religious?

Jon Jones, UFC’s world heavyweight champ in-absentia had a meet & greet in Sydney, Perth, Brisbane, and Melbourne last year. This was for his supposed UFC 295 title fight, that fell through. Jones went viral yet again recently making a rugby tackle for the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.

With one of the highest counts of successful title defenses (8, as a 205lber), he holds the accolade of one of the best Strikers in UFC history. Jones credits it all to his faith, believing he was “God’s choice” to be an undefeated fighter. He mentioned as such in a sitdown with MMA Underground.

Jones bagged the heavyweight gold in his divisional debut against Ciryl Gane at UFC 285. At the post-fight conference, he invoked his faith yet again. He mentioned that his past transgressions and “falling from faith” are what makes him more relatable as a champion. However, he vowed to be on a more clear trajectory.

He also thanked Jesus for his win, at the Octagon interview. Over the years, he has let on his religious adherence many times.

With a ruptured pectoral tendon, the fighter has undergone another subsequent surgery and elbow procedure, thus putting the division on hold. Many a time, his religious and philosophical insights have received fan sneers on the issue of his return.

However, it remains undeniable that the heavyweight G.O.A.T is a firm believer, in the greatest essence.
