“Man Up” Nate Diaz schools UFC Welterweight on Twitter for shocking pull out of UFC 269 bout a month before

Nate Diaz vs Jorge Masvidal

UFC megastar Nate Diaz has been as tough as it comes inside the octagon, however, he makes a case for himself even before the fight happens. Diaz tweeted and deleted a tweet referring to how he has been fighting in 3 out of his last 4 fights as injured and yet showed up in the octagon, however, Diaz had someone in mind while tweeting it out.

Nate Diaz last fought at UFC 263 in where he lost a unanimous decision to fellow UFC Welterweight Leon Edwards who’s now on a 9 fight winning streak. Diaz has just one fight left under his current UFC contract after which he is most likely to test free agency.

Nate Diaz took it to Twitter to indicate a message to UFC Welterweight Jorge Masvidal tweeting “I fought 3 of My last 4 fights injured Man up.” The tweet was deleted afterwards. Masvidal and Diaz have a history of fighting each other back in 2019 at UFC 244 in Madison Square Garden for the one time BMF title match. Masvidal won that fight via third round doctor stoppage TKO.

Jorge Masvidal recently pulled out of his scheduled bout for UFC 269 against Leon Edwards. Masvidal and Edwards were scheduled to fight to get a title shot as well as avenge for the bad blood caused by a fist-fight altercation that happened back in 2018. Masvidal is coming off a title fight loss to the reigning, defending UFC Welterweight Champion Kamaru Usman. Edwards, as mentioned before, last fought at UFC 263 where he won a unanimous decision against Nate Diaz.

Do you think Diaz was right tweeting about this situation? Who do you think can fill up for Masvidal’s shoes as an opponent for Leon Edwards at UFC 269? As of now, there are at least three people in the UFC Welterweight division that are ready to fight anytime and anywhere, Vicente Luque, Gilbert Burns and Khamzat Chimaev. The most to make out from taking this fight is Khamzat Chimaev.
