Weight cuts have always been an intense process for MMA fighters. It takes a toll on their body that sometimes may be worse than the fight itself. We got to witness one such incident at UFC 301s weigh-ins earlier this evening. UFC featherweight, William Gomis threw up before the weigh-ins and weighed in three pounds below the weight limit. After all this, his efforts went to waste.

William Gomis was supposed to fight Jean Silva at UFC 301. However, problems arose at the weigh-ins as the French featherweight reportedly vomited before he got on the scale. As a result, he came in at 143 pounds which was way under the minimum necessary limit to fight in the division. This was not the only problem at hand.

Gomis was visibly struggling as he got on and off the scale. He was wobbly and had to take help as he walked out of the room. Now, the reason why all this went to waste was because as per reports Gomis’ fight with Jean Silva has been cancelled.
