One-time lightweight title contender Al Iaquinta is desperate for a fight. The fighter has two big names in mind for his next fight.
Former UFC lightweight contender Al Iaquinta is ready to take on another big fight in his career. “Raging” has two names in mind. Both of them are superstars. Iaquinta has his eyes on Tony Ferguson and Nate Diaz. Al last fought in the UFC in 2019. He has not stepped into the octagon for 2 years since his decision loss against Dan Hooker. He is coming off a two-fight losing streak and is desperate to get violent in the octagon. Al has some big-name fights in his career. He is fought top fighters like Khabib Nurmagomedov, Donald Cerrone, Jorge Masvidal.
Recently he appeared in an interview with MMA Island. In the interview, he spoke about his fighting interests and his possible opponents for his return. “A Nate fight at 170 (lbs).” Iaquinta told MMA Island. “That’d be cool. I’d be down for that.”

Ferguson is coming off a loss against Beneil Dariush at UFC 262 in the co-main event. He is coming off a three-fight losing streak but he still is fan-favorite. A matchup with someone like Iaquinta sure does look good for both of them. “Right now, at this point, the fight with Tony Ferguson might make a little sense,” said Al in the interview.
“He had a couple of tough fights, I had a couple of tough fights. He’s always dangerous, always tough. I think that would be a fight that would interest me for sure.” Would you like to see this matchup in the future?
