Bobby Green deserves his own BMF belt solely because he agreed to fight top contender Islam Makhachev on a week’s notice ahead of UFC Vegas 49. The veteran lightweight exposes the entire top 10 lightweight division for ducking the Dagestani fighter when presented with the opportunity to fight him.

UFC Vegas 49 takes place this weekend on 26th February at the UFC Apex. The event was originally booked to be headlined by two top-ranked lightweight contenders, Islam Makhachev and Beneil Dariush. This matchup was a title contender fight but however, owing to injury, Dariush had to pull out of the fight last moment.

Bobby Green, who is just coming off an ecstatic win at UFC 271 against Nasrat Haqparast is stepping up to fight the Dagestani on short notice in a catchweight bout. In the recent episode of MMA Hour, Green talks about how the top 10 fighters were first offered the fight but rejected to step up.

“I know already that the top 10 guys…[Dan] Hooker said it best, all those motherf**kers got the call first. I guarantee you, all those guys were pu**ies. All you guys are f**king pu**ies” insulted Green on the MMA Hour show.

Islam is currently on a nine-fight winning streak and is one of the most underrated fighters in the lightweight division. The Dagestani is ranked #4 in the lightweight rankings and is on the verge of fighting for the title next. A win against Dariush could’ve seen the fighter secure his spot as the next title challenger.

Bobby “King” Green on the other hand is unranked at the moment but has won the heart of MMA fans and critics after his recent in against Nasrat at UFC 271. The fighter completely put on a show for the fans and earned him a main event against the #4 ranked fighter. And an upset win against Islam could see Green hopping over all the other fighters into the top 10 rankings and Green believes he deserves that.

“All those guys play this weird game. I feel like they hold their cards in and they wait for the right to ‘pull out my ace’. Like, no, sometimes you gotta jump on it and you just gotta take it the way it is. And now, I am jumping over all you guys, because why? You’re too pu**y to take the opportunity,” said Green in his rant.
