“Definitely not a fighter,” Aspen Ladd wants Miesha Tate to back up her trash talk and fight Ladd next
Aspen Ladd and Miesha Tate
The number 4th ranked UFC women’s Bantamweight fighter, Aspen Ladd returned from her injury to compete inside the Octagon almost after two years in 2021. But Ladd will be definitely looking forward to forgetting this year as this turned out to be a disaster for her. She was booked to face Macy Chiasson on her return but Aspen Ladd missed the weight terribly and the fight got canceled.
Two weeks later she agreed to face Norma Dumont and made her Featherweight debut but Ladd lost that fight as well by unanimous decision of the judges. Not only this, her coach and partner, Jim West received a lot of criticism over social media for shouting at her in between the rounds.
The former UFC women’s Bantamweight champion, Miesha Tate was most vocal about it and she even got engaged in one on one back and forth with West as well. Now Aspen Ladd is hoping to make a comeback in the women’s Bantamweight division and she wants Tate to stand in front of her in their next fight.
Talking about the same in her latest interview with MMA Fighting, Aspen Ladd says, “I already have an inkling of when I’ll be back, for her I’d wait a little bit longer. We’ll see what she decides to do in the next week or so.”
“It’s on her, I’ve agreed to fight her in the past and I’ve agreed to fight her now. I want that fight. It depends on whether she’s choosing to take it, or if she’s gonna choose not to fight, or choose an easier out. We’ll see. If she chooses not to fight me, you’ll see me back regardless. I hope she doesn’t.” {H/T MMA Fighting}
Aspen Ladd claims Miesha Tate attacking her personally wasn’t the right thing
Miesha Tate recently faced a loss against Ketlen Vieira on UFC Fight Night: Vieira vs Tate and she is looking to make a comeback inside the Octagon in the first quarter of 2022. Although there is no one whom she is targeted to face next, but Ladd wants her to back the trash talk and face her.
Aspen Ladd continued, “Hey, look at her, she essentially set up the fight already, If you’re gonna do that, if you’re gonna talk trash, if you’re gonna say things that you have, and now she’s talking about fighting other people calling her out. Of course they are. Everybody wants to fight you.”
“But when you say very particular things about somebody and then you don’t feel like backing them up, I don’t know what that makes you, but it’s definitely not a fighter.” {H/T MMA Fighting}
