Despite showing a good performance against ‘Benny,’ Nijem failed to deliver a promising career and eventually quit the UFC.

Beneil Dariush’s submission loss against Michael Chiesa
Since his first loss against Ramsey Nijem, Beneil Dariush had an impressive win streak. Emerging victorious against notable contenders like Michael Johnson and Jim Miller. However, this would come to an end as ‘Benny’ faced Michael Chiesa at UFC on FOX 19. The event held in 2016 would mark the Assyrian fighter’s second loss in his professional career.
The first round was a success for Dariush as he managed to trade shots with Chiesa. ‘Benny’ managed to hurt his opponent and get a successful takedown. However, the demise of the Assyrian fighter in the bout came in the second round. Chiesa took down Beneil and won via a second-round submission victory.

Beneil Dariush lost via KO against Edson Barboza
UFC fighter Edson Barboza is one of the most popular fighters of all time. Having notable wins over Anthony Pettis and Gilbert Melendez, the fighter was set to take on Beneil Dariush. ‘Benny’ had won two fights since his loss against Michael Chiesa and was set to emerge victorious over Barboza. However, the result did not favor fans of the Assyrian fighter.
The fight against Edson Barboza had a successful start for Beneil Dariush. ‘Benny’ landed significant shots and managed to look dominant throughout the first round. However, in the second round, the Assyrian fighter received a brutal hit to the groin. This unfortunate hit saw a decline in the fight for Dariush. Despite performing relatively well, Barboza delivered an impressive flying knee that knocked him out.
Beneil Dariush’s latest loss against Alexander Hernandez
Dariush’s career seemed like it was at the tail end following the brutal loss against Edson Barboza. The fighter’s match-up against Evan Dunham being a draw, Beneil’s career in the UFC was not promising. This would become evident at the UFC 222 event. ‘Benny’ took on Alexander Hernandez in the lightweight division and failed to overcome adversity.
In the very first round, Hernandez came out hot and heavy. Beneil Dariush failed to keep up with the brutal pace and got knocked out 42 seconds into the first round.
