“You can’t run, you can’t hide” Clay Guida calls out to ‘coward’ Nate Diaz after win at UFC Vegas 44

Clay Guida and Nate Diaz

Clay Guida, a name that is taken with respect in the UFC recently won a nail-biting match. This fixture was held between the senior members of the UFC roster. It seemed as if Guida was going to bite the dust, but he turned the game over the head and defeated Leonardo Santos via rear-naked choke.

The win was extra special for Guida because it was his first win by submission after 11 long years! Not someone who is satisfied so easily, Guida now wants to fight one of the biggest names in the modern UFC.

We just want to stay on the gas pedal, stay active. And there’s still one dude out there with our name on him. I beat him once and I’ll give him another chance. Nate Diaz, I know you’re out there. You can’t run, you can’t hide.” Guida said in the post-fight interview.

I know you’re gonna turn the fight down. You probably won’t even know that we want to fight you again. But if you ever want to do it again, buddy, I’ll give you a shot at it. Let me know.” Guida was seen challenging Diaz.

Guida and Diaz had faced off nearly a decade ago in 2009, during which Guida turned out to be the winning party and totally dominated Diaz. The winner was decided by split decision and each of the fighters went home $65k richer.

This fight would also be good for Nate Diaz as well. The former champion’s recent outing turned out very forgettable, with his loss against Leon Edwards in the UFC 263 in June. Diaz would also not want to turn down the challenge as he would want to take revenge for the humiliating loss.
