Although, the fight did not have the ending fans would have wanted, the crowd-pull was insane due to the very presence of McGregor. The event sold a staggering 1.8 million PPVs worldwide, which meant that McGregor has featured in all of the top 5 PPV events in the history of the promotion.

Conor McGregor vs Dustin Poirier 3 was a big money fight, with both the fighters especially McGregor taking home a boatload of cash. There were several other important fights in the card as well. The co-main event featured Stephen Thompson taking on Gilbert Burns. Burns won the fight via. unanimous decision. Tai Tuivasa devastated Greg Hardy in a heavyweight bout. And, Sean O’Malley and Kris Moutinho faced off in a fight that kicked off the main card.

Conor McGregor made a mind-boggling $23 million for his loss against Dustin Poirier. Poirier, on the other hand, made $5.1 million which is impressive as well, but nothing when compared to how much his rival made despite losing the fight. It is worth noting that these payments include the bonus from PPVs as well.

For the co-main event, Gilbert Burns earned $256,000 while Stephen Thompson took home $166,000. Sean O’Malley put on an impressive performance against Kris Moutinho that earned $261,000, which also included the Fight of the Night bonus. The gritty Moutinho made $95,000 on his very first fight. Not bad at all for a debutant.

In the heavyweight contest between Tai Tuivasa and Greg Hardy, Tuivasa earned $221,000 for his KO win. Whereas Greg Hardy walked home with $106,000.

There was just one woman’s bout in the main card. It had Irene Aldana taking on Yana Kunitskaya. Aldana won the fight via. TKO in the very first round. She took home $77,400 for her win, and would have made $12,600 more had she not missed weight. Kunitskaya earned $62,600.
